Checklist players actually read
The best LFG posts answer platform, activity, headcount, time (with timezone), mic rules, and payout expectations — in that order.
Title & mission type
Name the finale or prep series (“Casino SS — finale”, “Cayo — two-player gold”). If you need experience, say so. If you’re teaching, say that too — it attracts the right applicants. Not sure which dropdown tag fits? See all session types you can post.
Time & timezone
Use a concrete start time and mention your timezone (or use UTC). “Tonight” isn’t enough for international crews. Add buffer for setup if you expect wardrobe or invite delays.
Cuts, roles, and prerequisites
State cuts before players join. Mention required setups (e.g., keypad level, specific property) and whether you’re running elite challenge or just a clean completion.
How that maps to GTAFriends events
Creating an event gives you a dedicated chat thread, a participant cap, and a record that survives Discord scroll. After the session, verification closes the loop so future hosts can see who actually finished runs with you.
Next steps
Create a session with the details above — players reserve slots instead of spamming ‘inv’.

FAQ
- What’s the minimum I should put in an LFG post?
- Platform, mission type, how many players you need, start time (with timezone), mic rules, and cut expectations if they’re non-standard.
- Does GTAFriends replace my Discord server?
- Not necessarily. Many crews still coordinate in Discord; GTAFriends is where you schedule the session, set expectations, and build a verified track record.
